Definately Every Word. No Contest. It's one of the best songs Jon has ever written.

Janie just makes me wretch. It has some good lines..but it's too Bon Jovi-like without being of caliber. It's a departure from the rest of the album's theme and sound that rips off Kenny Roger's song title while pandering to those who couldn't handle or understand the rest of the album. That was the bone thrown for the simple folk. Is it any wonder it was only performed live on tour sporadically and not even with the full band? I wouldn't be surprised if it was the record company that pushed this one on Jon.

"Every Word..." is better.
But there's much better songs on DA than those two!
