Default Which is worse?

So which gets you p!ssed off more: calling Bon Jovi "Jon Bon Jovi" or calling Jon Bon Jovi "Bon Jovi"? I voted for the latter because it seems to be the worst of both worlds. They think his name is the bands name and they think the band is a "he". Plus, it's downright disrespectful to call him "Bon Jovi" without adding a "Mr." in front of it.

I remember when I was watching the AMAs and my mom came in and asked me, "Did Bon Jovi get his award yet?" There you go. She called the band "he". Boy, did I give her an earfull. She tried to justify herself by saying that you can refer to a person by his/her last name, but it was the BAND getting the award, not the MAN.

I think that it's worse for Bon Jovi to be referred to as Jon Bon Jovi.

The other way around is just like calling Eric Clapton just Clapton or Steven Tyler just Tyler, people still know who you mean.

When the band is referred to as being just Jon Bon Jovi that is worse as it makes people believe that Bon Jovi is one man.

Technically doing either is pretty much the same though.

Calling "Bon Jovi" Jon Bon Jovi. As was said before, if you say Clapton, you know exactly who is meant. Same with Sambora or Jagger... or a multitude of people we could list. Also, it's perfectly correct to refer to Jon as "Bon Jovi" in articles if his first name has been previously mentioned.

Yeah, but what if his first name ISN'T mentioned. I heard it on the radio multiple times. Not only that, but the DJ called the band "Jon". He just couldn't get it straight! Fortunately, they got rid of him, but Chicago radio still sucks.
