So I decided to go with the flowers. I saved the design and painted over the flowers, and it just looks to bare. Asked a couple of people at work, and they said the same thing. Upon really looking at it, the flowers give it a cool look. They're dying flowers with the thorns showing. It's not like it says Bon Jovi and has a dozen shiny red roses with a bow wrapping them up.

I have the first one as my tattoo but without the band name or the roses. I might add that I love it. I think I posted it here somewhere in the past few years.

If it had to be a heart and dagger, I'd get this one:

This is just my opinion, but I would try to get creative and create a tattoo that symbolizes the band, but not tattoo the Bon Jovi name/logo on me. As much as I love the band, I wouldn't wanna be branded with their name. I just don't think it's cool.

I think a good rule of thumb is not to get anyone's name tattooed on your body unless you gave birth to him/her. Or I might do a pet's name and picture.

I probably thought that way at one time, but after 30 years, I'd say it's a safe bet.

You went big and bold! Cool. But does this mean you have to shave your leg from now on?

Not sure. I guess if I want it to be really shiny, then yes. Otherwise, no. I'll probably shave the tattoo in the summer, and not worry about it in the winter. Right now I"m just keeping it clean and medicated. Hurts like a bitch!
