How the hell did alive not make Bounce?

Agree ! Alive is a great song. But We Can Dance and especially Another Reason To Believe are terrific songs ! I actually likes Lucky to. What destroys Bounce is the huge amount of slow/ballad type of songs.

Alive has a nice verse, but fails to convince overall. With a full production it might have been better.
All the Bounce B-Sides are overrated here. "Postcards From The Wasteland" is the only one that should have made the album, but with the right production of course.

I kind of preffered the b-sides because of that reason. I found the album tracks way over-produced and songs like the demo for Undivided and Postcards sounded really good and gave a nice "live off the floor" feel.

Uh od, Reason To Belive should have been on Bounce!!! And We Can Dance is allso really good...

The song didn't make it because it's shit. When it just had been released many people said it was better because it rocked a lot more than most stuff on Bounce but a song that rocks harder doesn't nessesarily make it a better song. Like Simon says, all the Bounce demo's are overrated on here.

It didn't make it because it's shit? It should have gone well on Bounce then. Personally I don't care for the majority of the Bounce demos, I'd consider Crush demos superior; Neurotica, etc. But there are songs on Bounce worse than Alive. Obviously music is subjective but I don't understand why someone would rather hear you has me from hello or all about lovin you instead of alive. It's not because alive is a rock track, I mean Postcard from the wasteland isn't rock but I'd still rather have that over half the tracks that made Bounce.

I excluded "Postcards" though, I love that song. This song instead of "Open All Night", more lead guitar in "Undivided" (like in the demo), and the extended intro and outro of "Right Side Of Wrong" (also like the demo), and I would like "Bounce" a lot more than I already do.

Yes, I like the "Bounce" album, it is somewhat underrated here. Not the best, but not as bad as people say. Just to give you something to disagree with---

The Bounce album as Simon said is very underrated here ! The only real downer is Joey (Yes I like AALY). One thing I never have understand is the hate to You Had Me From Hello. For me that song is one of the best songs on the 2000s, adorable song !
