Default Who is less Rock today?David Bryan or Hugh McDonald?

I was a big Dave fan a few years ago and I even consider his solo album a masterpiece but somehow he lost the rock thing. He just plays his instrument and nothing more. Besides, I start to hate the way he dresses live. I mean, he is playing rock shows but he looks like he was going to picnics. I remember him playing Pink Flamingos during the NJ tour and he was like AMAZING. So cool...but it's all gone.
And watching Borgata and seeing that other keyboardplayer there as Jon introduced him made me think about it. Dave is IMO a good keyboard player but he lost all his stage presence.

Hugh McDonald was always this way but now they both seem to dress the same way and tomove the same way. What's gonna follow? Jon putting his knees together and swinging from left to right and Tico playing a 3 piece drum set?

I think they both play extremely well live. I think you're referring to the stage pressence and Hugh sucks more in that department. Dave doesn't have a keytar so I would guess would be kinda hard for him to move and play when his instrument doesn't.
On the way they dress I haven't noticed Dave's style recently but Hugh has some of the most ridiculous and ugliest shirts I've ever seen.

I am reffering mainly to the stage presence but both could do more in terms of playing too.

I cannnot vote .. both are great live ..technically I don't know much about music and cannot judge a musician skill except on an emotionnal level but my ears are pleased by their performances so I am happy .. now saying Dave is not having the rock feeling anymore because he is NOT DRESSED cool enough I am shocked to read that are you any serious ? it's almost girly to say something like that who cares what he wears .. come on ....
Dave is very cool on stage very activ very funny I don't see anything to complain about ...
and I just adore Hugh he is himself he is this way I think he is cool and very Hugh-ish

I have seen the guys live quite a lot .... I am not refereing to tv stuff but to real live shows

I never said that the way any of them dresses influences they're playing.
Try to read!

And I have seen BJ a few times too. Dave was definetly better in 1995 than 2003. And his clothes were better too....

About the dressing: It's not girlish at all. Leather and jeans are ROCK. Baggy HAWAII shirts aren't. That's it. Just think of Dave during the 80s. HE WAS ROCK back then. He isn't anymore.

But somehow I still manage to like him...

haha...well...you are right!
He is one of the greatest players and what he does with the ball is just magic. But I don't know why he never managed to really shine. He is obviously a great talent and he is a very cool guy. He looks a bit like a Egyptian Pharaon.

I can read thank you I don't care about Dave's clothes and his clothes or look won't influence my judgement about his playing nor rock attitude ... I think that Dave's look is the most extravangant with Richie lol he does has the rock attitude .... this is my opinion you asked for that right ?
