I'd rather listen to T-Swizzle ( Taylor Swift) over Motörhead any day of the week.

From a pen-pal who was a big GnR fan way back in the late 80's/early 90's.

I'm not sure why it's relevant to who has jammed with BJ, but I have to agree with the person who said that Taylor Swift is the real deal. I'm not a fan, but I respect her. She writes her own songs. They're hit songs. She's consistent.

than

Lemmy, Skid Row, Cinderella and many others embarassing bands from 80's.

You must be the guy that Lemmy talks about at the end of the clip. Just grown a little older.

And if you are there, you might want to watch the whole thing. You'll see people who have actually changed music 'admitting' they like Lemmy! But, yeah, the last 30 seconds will do for you as well.

Nirvana revolutionized and inspired just as many, if not more musicians than Motorhead.

Nickelback is in the midst of doing so as well.

Madonna inspired and revolutionized pop music for female singers.

I still think they all suck.

I really don't care if the band inspired another popular band, Lemmy's voice still makes my ears bleed.

I had no interest in participating in this bickering anymore, but this post was just too ignorant to ignore.

I don't think that's true. After the initial burst of alt.rock bands in the mid ninteties following the footsteps of not only Nirvana, but great bands such as Pearl Jam, Alice in chains, Soundgarden and so on, Nirvana's legacy seems to be bands such as Nickelback, who use heavy sounds and sometimes hard subject matter like drug abuse, but write pop melodies and hooks. I have no respect for this, since it is self deliberate and trying to be something you aren't. Lemmy's legacy is much more than this.

Nickelback is as influential to the musical landscape as Lemmy and the Seattle sound? Not true.

So everyone keeps saying, I just don't see it. In the 70's female artist such as Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt and Bonnie Tyler were at the fore front of great performers and songwriters, followed in the 80's by Suzanne Vega, Kate Bush, later Tori Amos and really exploding with Alanis in the mid 90's. I get that Madonna was BIG, but what did she do? Who she inspired? Did she pave way for any of the artist I just mentioned? The only one I can think of is Lady Gaga. That's hardly an accomplishment. Lemmy wins again.
