the person is taking the piss. first they're asking a question, then when they're not satisfied with the response, they're taking it out on the people who tried to help.

lol, i'm the one who works in a bank! i work at Royal Bank of Scotland and technically we own Natwest, but i can't help you with your card i'm afraid, sorry!
