You can insult them for that. That's not even real music...I can do better stuff than that on my PC. Every dance song sounds the same; same beat, and very similar sound, just different lyrics.

You do the same thing they did with Bon Jovi! Some of that music is good.

No, it's not the same. Bon Jovi is a talented band, which has stood the test of time thanks to their ability to write and record music. Almost all of todays artists rely on other people to write their songs, other people to record their music, and computers to improve the sound of their voices.

I know that I am biased, but how can anyone say that that dance crap is better than Bon Jovi? Bon Jovi write from the heart, as a way of expressing themselves, whereas todays mucis is done purely to make money for the record companies.

Intolerance is normal for young people. People want to be different but at the same time they want to be accepted the most of all. So majority follows society standards. (In your case society=school.)

I'm sure your friends who heard Bon Jovi don't think this way. They just want to be accepted by their peers that's why they say that sh*t.

Thierry - I'm 54 years old. Can you imagine what people say about me?
Grow up, is one of the nicer comments. I'm sure you know that taste in music has nothing to do with sexual orientation. I say F*** em. Enjoy your concerts. They don't know what they are missing.
Here in the USA guys are labeled gay if they like classical music. They all need to get a life!

I think calling things "gay" is just a UK thing. Me and my friends say it all the time, not saying something is gay like homo gay, but like an American would say "That sucks", we'd say "That's gay".

I am NOT saying that dance music is better than Bon Jovi. I am saying there is good dance music and there is bad dance music. And when you say that all dance music sucks you also stereotype.

We listen to Bon Jovi because they are good musicians, not because of how they look, act or dance on stage. Remind these "friends" that Bon Jovi write and record their own music, play their own instruments and perform live. How many of todays pop bands do all of that?

Also, on my end, it isn't too bad. My friends aren't into Bon Jovi, more than one of my mates likes Always, but they don't care that I am. I am usually on here (JoviTalk) when I'm with them (although that is usually during computing lessons, when I SHOULD be working, lol), and they don't care. Sometimes they even read some of the topics on here.

Oh lord. You´ve got to save their souls! :P

Dance? Techno? Trance? Those are the gayest names for music ever...

I'm not stereotyping. I don't like Dance music, and what I was saying was it takes no skill to make it.

I've made better stuff on my PC or my PS2 than some of the stuff I hear on the TV.
