Ha, ha, I always joke that I was a "closet jovi fan" for the first few years. I did like Runaway right away, but didn't dare to admit I like them cause of their image (jon's looks). See, all those hair bands weren't exactly well respected in the group I hung out with. It was all about music, and good looks were detrimental. To make matters worse, there was this girl in my class that I never really liked, she was such a "good" girl. She wasn't the only one, there were a whole bunch of "oh so good girls" that all of a sudden liked a guy with long hair. Even though they would have never given a guy with long hair another look otherwise. Anyway, she carried a magazine with Jon on the front cover around all the time. It made me soooo sick. I sure as heck didn't want to have anything to do with that crowd....

It took till Slippery for me to admit I liked them, but then the whole hair band thing got a lot more acceptable - or was it the change in people I hung out with. Don't remember. It's been a while

There were too many N'Sync fans. I was forced to be original.

The music, quite simply. They rock and have songs for all moods. Also, they are great live, which is essential for any band to make it really big.

I’m a great fan of rock music in general but the one thing that makes me become a fanatic of BJ music it’s their ability to combine the power of rock with beautiful melodies.
I remember when I was 13… I was just a little more than a child and in that period I was starting to listening music. DURAN DURAN and EUROPE was my firsts favourite bands; then one day I listened to “Born to Be my Baby” on the radio…I thought….”wow, this is the PERFECT ROCK SONG….who are those guys”.
From that day Bon Jovi music became the soundtrack of my life.
Every single album reminds me a period in my life….I hope this magic will go on for many years.
They satisfy my music taste 100%.

I think I'm just one of these typical since-Crush-fans. I've always known and loved some songs like Bed Of Roses, but never cared from which band they were. I'd also heard of the name Bon Jovi, but didn't know that they belonged to these songs. So it was just my luck that the radio moderator said "that was the new single of Bon Jovi" after I'd heard It's My Life, so when they said "here comes the new Bon Jovi single" some weeks later, I was interested and - surprise - I also liked Say It Isn't So. So I asked my friend what the CD was called on which I would find both songs, she told me, and shortly after that I owned Crush and loved it. That's kind of funny because now it's the only album that I don't like that much anymore - though it's also very great. When Bounce was out, I bought all the other albums of them and the solo records, then I went to concerts... it's really addicting.
I kept hearing "Thank you For Loving Me" on the radio and I fell in love. I was like "Who is this?" Finally my brother said it was Bon Jovi. I went out and bought Crush and listened to it all the time. Before Crush, I remember watching MuchMoreMusic and saw the video for Always. The line "I'll be there til the stars don't shine, til the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme" It kept playing over and over in my head. After Crush, I bought Crossroads and that was it.

There is just something about the songs. No matter how I feel, I can relate to any song. And I actually listen to all the songs on their albums. I don't buy an album to listen to one or two songs. I buy it for the whole experience!
