It's got to the point where their music is like an old friend that I've grown up with and know inside out. I find comfort in listening to it. There's a song for however I'm feeling at the time and that makes me feel good.

Cause I Believe (and the album) kicked my ass back in '92
You grow up with the band like a best friend, but in the end it all boils down to brilliant songwriting (and performing)

i saw them live before i was a fan...

just the fact that they were able to get a non fan; who had heard of LOAP down the line somewhere but couldn't name 3 songs by them...and turn me into someone who owned all their albums within a month of that gig, and could singalong every word of every song (barring 7800 )...

in my eyes that must make them one hell of a band. so its all about the music, ESPECIALLY the live music.

because of the 90's and after that the 80's (yes in that order!).
To pin it down, KTF made me like BJ, TD made me a fan and buying all their records, those made me a fan still today even of the CRAP they have released since 2000, HAND was up the hill again.
Hopes up for LH otherwise 'fan' wouldn't be appropiate anymore

Same for me. I don't want to say I listen out of habit because that's not the case. I genuinely like the new stuff. Not as much as the 90's stuff but moer than the 80's catalauge. Eeeeither way, I think i'm in it for the long haul.

Default good Q x

I'm a fan because, the songs make me smile, laugh, cry, and make me feel great! So many of the songs touch my heart and mean so much to me as they are reflective of things and events that have happened to me, as well as appealing to my dreamy side of life.

I have every album and have seen them 6 times now.
Fav albums are These days, Faith and HAND and New Jersey, and Slippery, and Young Guns ST, and Destination... you get the idea haha

If you could hear one song b4 you died, what would it be??

Mine would be Always.

Are you going to the Dome?

I believe all of you have sum up almost everything I feel for this band. The lyrics, the music, the singing, the guitar solos, the FEELING it brings... I could go on forever! Like a lof of you have said, it feels like you actually know these guys. Eventho I've never seen them live, I do not doubt that they are totally rocking - at least that is what I reckon from watching them on the DVD:s. And, how can you not love a band that has created such masterpiece as These Days is? That album is almost as dear to me as my very family; actually, it feels like the album actually IS a part of my family!
