Default Why change misunderstood??

I just heard the single version of misunderstood and although i liked it i am just puzzled as to why they have changed it. Personally its one of my favourite bonjovi songs ever and without doubt one of the best on the album, and i think the album version is just perfect and shouldnt have been changed!
So why did they remix it??

To have a wider appeal. There's the album version wich I assume the live performance will resemble the most.
There's the sigle mix wich is a bit harder.
and there's a slower mix of the song for Adult contemporary radio.
It's all about the airplay.they have the album the and the songs on the album the way they wanted them.but when releasing singles it all comes down to airplay and sometimes the song gets changed to achieve as much of it as possible.

Basically, it just sounds more rocked up! It sounds good though.

Default IIIIIIIII part of Misunderstood

I heard a remixed version on Chicago radio this weekend. There's more percussion at the beginning and they changed the IIIIIII part. At the end of that part it echoes a little bit and it's a little softer. For those of us who were annoyed by the IIIIIIIIIIIII's it's a lot better. The whole song sounds just great.

I've noticed that they have changed the order of some lyrics, putting some of them before Richie's solo, when before they were after it.

I prefer the single version, its more catchy, more for the radio so more people will listen to it. But it is a good song on the whole.

If it's like the video version, I think it sounds a little better. I agree about the IIIIII bit, the echo takes some of the "cheesyness" from it, IMO.

Can't wait to get the single, when is the UK release date?

Heard it on Adelaide radio for the first time yesterday and LOVE it. Especially the echo effect. Several ppl at work [not known as BJ fans] remarked on the song and love it too...so guess there is 'method in the madness'.
