I personally like it that the band play two or three covers in a show. It's got me into one or two artists, such as if they hadn't played Lola in Manchester in 2003 I probably wouldn't be into the Kinks now, and if it wasn't for Rockin' In The Free World on the OWN live album then I probably wouldn't be a Neil Young fan. I think it's good to hear a few songs that have influenced them so long as they don't over do it.

Yup me too. But with me the difference is that I usually wind up liking the Bon Jovi version more than the original.

Some of my fave covers:
~Jersey Girl~
~Heroes~
~Can't Help Falling In Love~
~Travelling Band~
~Drift Away~
~I Won't Back Down~
~ It's Only Rock and Roll But I like It~

I could name alot more but y'all get the idea!

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Yeah I know what you mean. I certainly like Bon Jovi's version of Heroes better than the Bowie original, and I really like Jon's version of Jailbreak, which is better I think to Thin Lizzy's version. Like you said, there are more that we could name. I'll post again if I think of any more.

Exactly. With Heroes I NEVER liked the song.. not the Bowie version, not the Wallflowers version.. then I heard it done on the 2003 Yokahoma Acoustic show with the orchestra and I was like WOW! I even got to see BJ do it in person in Toronto '03 as the first song of the encore.

A long time ago I heard the BJ version of Rockin' In The Free World, and loved it. I have never heard the Neil Young version but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like it much, as I don't really care for Neil Young, I'm not sure why.

I loved hearin Rockin' All Over The World in Wolverhampton on the European leg of the Bounce tour that was real fun...so id be pleased if they done that again...but yea HAND is not all that gd, the songs i would wanna hear from it are HAND, WSYCGH, Welcome to Wherever you are, Last Man Standing and possibly Bells of Freedom....

I really do think after this tour BJ need to go there seperate way for 4 or 5 years...let Richie do a solo album or 2...then see if the band can get back together and right some real rock songs again...

Four or five years??? That's abit long don't you think??? i do think the band will take a year or two off after this tour, their next big milestone is their 25th anniversary in 2008, and their possible induction into the hall of fame in 2009, so it seems like a good time to take off, pursue their solo stuff. They have been busy for the last six years it probably is time to take a break.

I'd prefer a 4 or 5 year break ... the way I have it planned out in my head is:

2006: At the end of the year release a live CD/DVD set from the Giants shows of the HAND tour

2007 and 2008: Solo albums and general pursuing other projects

2009: Double disk greatest hits set

2010 or 11: New studio album

I really don't think it'll work like that. I actually think they'll have a new album by 2008 AT MOST. And as for the Live CD/DVD... It better be an arena show damn it.

I hope the break isn't five years... I can handle a two year break... but to wait for a new album and tour for five years would suck.. five years is a long time- that break between TD and Crush was five years and it was a LONG wait. I'll be the big 3-0 in five years! I better be getting me some new shit before that happens!!
