I don't hate All About Loving You. I think it's an OK song and when I compare it to Open All Night or You Had Me From Hello, it sounds even better. LOL. Those two songs, I hate. I do think AALY is a weak substitute for what could have been a much better ballad. I think it has the potential to be a much better song than they made it. I don't like the beginning of the song at all though. It doesn't fit the rest of the song. Lyrically, I think it's OK. I think it shows how he feels about his wife now. That through all the shit they've been through, she's still the one he loves. I see I'll Be There For You and Bed of Roses as apologies to her, for things he may have done. I guess I look at things a little differently sometimes. Maybe it's just me. It's no I'll Be There For You (nothing ever will be to me), but I don't skip it when I listen to the cd.

I don't HATE it. I just think it's too much of a formula ballad to be a single. You know how they've said if they could bottle and sell "it" they would? Well, AALY sounds like it came out of that bottle of "it." The lyrics are nice. The melody is nice. But it doesn't sound fresh.

I agree. But I love this single, I previously post the message saying they should release this as single. I really don't know how it will do in the charts. But i can't wait to see this single.

maybe but that being said i'd rather this didn't become the content and subject of his songs/albums

I don't pry into his personal life like some fans/reporters do... wanting to know about his children, his holidays, what he does in his spare time, how much he loves his wife etc...

it's good that he has a good family/personal life - but since i don't infringe upon it - i don#'t expect it to be thrust into my face (or my ears)

Right. If it weren't for his personal life, we wouldn't have many of the great songs like Dry County, Bed of Roses, Living in Sin, I'll Be There For You, Just Older, It's My Life ... need I go on?

Exactly, I respect the fact that despite the fact that he is famous he has the right to his own personal life. However, when he writes a song and tells us it's about his wife (too many to list) or his daughter (I've Got the Girl) or whoever, then HE"S bringing a bit of his personal life into OUR world. If you can find a songwriter who doesn't draw on their own personal experiences when writing music, let me know.

i wouldn't say just older and it's my life are great songs at all - the message of them is being spoonfed to you

livin' in sin - this is just a cliched rock song - albeit my favourite... you have to remember all the 80s songs were about forbidden love... and sneeking around Daddy's back door etc
