Why do you hate AALY?

i don't want THAT sort of personal in OUR world...

may as well write a song called

"i love my family"

or

"i'm a proud dad"

I don't pry into his personal life like some fans/reporters do... wanting to know about his children, his holidays, what he does in his spare time, how much he loves his wife etc...

it's good that he has a good family/personal life - but since i don't infringe upon it - i don#'t expect it to be thrust into my face (or my ears)

But he's been writing about it for years.

Right. If it weren't for his personal life, we wouldn't have many of the great songs like Dry County, Bed of Roses, Living in Sin, I'll Be There For You, Just Older, It's My Life ... need I go on?

it's too pop... it's not like the power ballads they used to write.

What's odd is that I think that it is EXACTLY like the power ballads they used to write. From a melodic standpoint anyway. I agree with Becky when she says they "bottled a formula". That's what AALY is, the formula. Maybe that's why I like it.
