Why does Bon Jovi make videos anymore?

Yeah and I have heard the hardcore Metallica fans dissed the band when they made their first video and a lot of them decided to stop buying their material.

Springsteen doesn't make "videos". All his "videos" are either live performances or at least sung again over a backing tape. He's always wanted to make sure that the videos mean something, they're not just a promo stuff.

Don't want to state the obvious here but they've sold quite a few more albums since they started making videos. I think if we look at album sales pre-Black Album and post Black Album you'd see a marked difference.

I also wouldn't say all Bon Jovi videos suck. Lay Your Hands On Me was a great video as was Wanted. I quite liked BOR video aswell particularly cheesy guitar solo on the top of a cliff moment. I tend to prefer the live style videos though, Say It Isn't So was absolute shite (and so was the video).
