2 of the best... fair to say that These days was best "all-rounder", NJ best all-round rock album - or at least best recorded...

the 90s didn't die when year 2000 began - i don't know why the band completely turned their backs on these days...

even richie's solo album had a tinge of these days

I agree. Undiscovered Soul is the best solo effort from any band member.

i liked it a lot - i still prefer his undiscovered soul - i could make the ultimate sambora album just by taking half of each record i think and putting them together

Bands grow up , so does their music
to be honest, I think Crush / Bounce and all the effects represent a step back, ie something a less mature band would do

Exactly my thought goose. Sound effects are used to cover up the fact that a band has no real talent most of the time and we all know that isn't true of BJ cos we wouldn't listen to 'em otherwise. Its sad to think that instead of a nifty little solo break from Richie to illustrate why this band is so big, we end up getting some digital computerised fart that anyone could make in a sound studio.

It seems to work on some of the people on this board though...

Ah well i can assure you that David has got an big job on Bounce. All the special effects are from the keyboards.

That might be his style, overlaying the effects and filling the crap out of a song. A good producer is one who doesn't try to change the band, just enhance what they already are.

Even I'll agree with ya. You hit the mark. (Except the idiots part)
