I'm sorry, I think I missed something important here, how is it that Jon is taking the solos away from Richie? Could anybody please explain that? Thanks.

It is a shame because the These Days outro just isn't the same without harmonica.

I wouldn't go out on a limb and say he was really playing it anyway. You could get monkey to play the harmonica part on these days.

Yes. He was really into harmonicas in the mid to late 80's. He even collected them.

That was some great harmonica playing. It really deteriorated in the 90s, I can see his point. But if he worked at it and got back into it it'd add a cool occasional element.

He recently said he was taking guitar lessons so maybe he's in a place where he's trying to improve as a musician all around and he'll practice the harmonica again too. He can do anything he sets his mind to.

I don't think he will practise his harmonica skills. It doens't play a big role in popular music nowadays, so Jon doesn't see the necessity to practise it.

I would love to see him playing the harmonica again but I highly doubt it.

I really wanted to hear BrokenPromiseLand with a harmonica... so I recorded it that. That being said, I am sure on his worst day he is better than me. It is one of those instruments that anyone can play, but it takes serious skill to be good at it.
