Jesus give me strength...

There is so much wrong with this article I don't know where to begin, and I've had a hard day and really don't have the will. This precisely the kind of media style manipulation of people I was talking about in the other thread. Selective quoting, opinions stated as facts, assumptions based upon lack of understanding of the facts or their twisted interpretation of them, the stinking works.

These are my favourite though...

Quote:
Because he cheats on his wife. Here's what Jon said on MTV on July 4, 1990. "The way I look at it is you're only married within the state lines. There are 49 other states, we can have 49 other relationships." Now that's just not cool.
I can see Jon saying this - with a big stupid grin on his face. It's called a joke.

Quote:
Lennon and McCartney. Give me a break! The greatest songwriting partnership in rock & roll history is being compared to Bon Jovi?
1. "All we are saying is give peace a chance" x 1000. "Hey Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song, and make it better". Compare that with "The Answer" or "These Days". Greatest song writing partnership? Give me a friggin' break. Lennon and McCartney's songs are no more sophisticated than the average nursery rhyme.

2. My opinion aside, he was clearly comparing the dynamics of their relationship, NOT saying their actual songs were equal or superior.

But THIS is the best...

"Truthfully, I got into it for the girls."
Funnily, I heard Billy Joel joke about much the same thing, and yet you don't hear anybody coming down on him and claiming he's not in it for the music.

Listen people and understand - if Jon were not in it for the music, he would've quit. He's got all the money, prestige and fame he could ever deal with in one lifetime, and a great wife. He's done it all, he's got it all.

That's the cold, hard, simple fact of the matter.
