Somehow, I now find this quote extremely funny. If Jon said this (he always seems quite subdued in the interviews I've seen - keyword
seen) even I'd admit it comes off as arrogant assuming songs are going to be hits. But the reporter was trying to be a smartass and got what he deserved as far as I'm concerned. Memorable quote indeed!
