And that is because Kid Rock did a country duet with Sheryl Crow which has taken off in the charts. Shouldn't that tell you something about music today that rock acts are not selling? It is harder to find good rock music on any given radio station without having to sit through other junk. Yes, there is good music out there and no I won't shut up

I'm only really into Rock music, like Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Bruce Springstein, U2, Queen, etc, but I think that the pop/chart music today is no worse than the disco music from the 70's. I deem it cheesy.

Some of today's rock bands, even the newer ones, aren't too bad; Nickelback, Feeder, Blink 182. The best rock bands which still produce albums, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc, have stood the test of time. They are now at a point where they have a wide fan base, and are still capable of creating new fans.

In 20 years, I doubt that boy bands like Westlife and Blue, or solo artists such as Christina Aguilera or Britney Sprears will still be making albums.

People have been moaning about how bad "modern" music is for ages. Complaining is a lot easier than looking around and opening yourself toward new things. There is a lot of good music out there. Dissatisfied people should change their attitude, open their mind and turn off the radio.

I despise pop. Every bloody song sounds the same. As does rap, which I loathe beyond words. We all know the reasons, so I shant go in depth on the subject (and because my fingers are tired from typing class...it's a very intense course). But I've been saying this for a long time now...music nowadays really sucks (with a few exceptions of course). Bon Jovi is great. Aerosmith is a close contender. Uh...I suppose bands like Creed and Weezer aren't bad, but the things that are really considered rock these days like Slipknot, Rob Zombie, etc...what in God's name is that stuff!? That's not rock! Lordy bgordy it's bad. But Bon Jovi is the only band that really shines some light on the current music world.

People are always surprised when I tell them about my favorite music, but you know what? I like only the best. And Bon Jovi is just that.

I do actually like some of the chart music (please, don't hurt me), but not the cheesy stuff. I like Robbie Williams, becuase he has a good voice, he is a great entertainer and he actually writes his own material. I also like Savage Garden (split now though), All Saints/Appleton (sort of same thing) and will admit to owning albums by 5ive and Will Smith. None of these match up to Bon Jovi, but they are still decent.

there's a FEW good songs... and what little ones there are are swamped by the poptastic production line rubbish

that's why i was hoping BJ would try to stand apart from "all the rest"
