Why? Why not?

Seriously, Shout is a cover song. I guess they do it because it works so well and the audience responds to is so well. Maybe Jon likes to show off his voice and Tico likes to show off how incredibly coordinated he is with Jon's every move.

Shout is originally by Australian rock pioneer Johnny O'Keefe. I would like to say that the medley originated at an Oz show, but I don't know for certain.

If you've ever been in the audience when they perform BM/Shout, you'll know that the electricity of that track (Shout) is unparalleled!!!

Just two great songs that work well as a medley like Sleep When I'm Dead/Jumpin Jack Flash or Midnight In Chelsea/Destination Anywhere!!
