Oh gosh, I remember that now. It was horrendous. I wonder if that is available on YouTube?

Out of topic: I think I saw an 'extended' version of Two Story Town some time ago. Do you know if it's available on YouTube?

Wasn't the only difference on that version the "hold on I got an itch" / "scratch it" intro?

I don't personally remember, just the 'extended version' title but, if that was it I can simply nevermind it

I can remember driving to work and it came on the radio. It took me a few seconds to realise it was quite different. No idea the decision making for this seeing the light of day.

I guess that someone at the record company thought that the UK market would prefer this mix to the album mix. We didn't...

Wow yeah that was a good performance and 100% with you about that energy.
Unfortunatelly I have the impression that it was a general thing: with the arrival of the 2000s Jon's singing acquired nasal characteristics and much less "open mouthed" higher note hitting. During DA era, even with the trick of writting big chunks of the vocal melodies on lower octaves, the higher parts were still sung with full fledged voice. And also in the concerts whenever he chose to sing the higher octaves, he did it in that open way.

From 2000 on he starts doing tricks, transforming vowels (a lot of iii etc) , which ultimately make the perfomances loose an edge. I would say even in the famous 2008-2010 era, he does these tricks, albeit successfully.
