Default will bon jovi stop?

do u guys think that bon jovi will just call it a day anytime around? i really don't think so...cos, each album they release, they are just getting much more matured, in the sense of their music...i suppose bounce is just the beginning...for me, bounce is a great album, the only thing is, it's kinda short..bon jovi are doing very well here in malaysia...especially the girls here are crazy about jon...his hairstyle, his clothes..i could go on...more importantly, they are crazy of the love lyrics over the years...dating back to i want u, this ain't a love song, always, thank you..., misunderstood, and aaly...the guys here in malaysia are crazy about tico...his drum skills, his stick-fliipin skills, his hair, his sideburns, his beard, and even his 'smoking when drumming skill'.
so u see, i really don't think that bon jovi should retire anytime around, and bounce should not be the last album...and if bj really retires, when do u think will it happen?

they're going to have to call it a day in terms of the nature of the studio releases...

by that i mean they HAVE to switch back to the TD platform if only to gain respect

live they can go on - but songs such as i've got the girl won't work for a bunch of 50 year olds

Carson Daly asked Jon a similar question when the band appeared on "Last Call" in the early hours of this morning.

Jon said for him a band like the Rolling Stones were the benchmark of when you might stop. Jon said when the fun and excitement leaves him in regards to his music, he will walk away.

And given the band's new found passion and energy, I doubt whether that is going to happen anytime soon!

They'll stop after Elvis stops. He just had a #1 two and a half decades after he died.

Bon Jovi will never be iconic, very very few bands are...... For instance, I wouldn't say Bon Jovi are one of those acts that everybody who likes rock music has to see..... in the way Dylan, or Sprinsteen, or Yes are..... Brilliant as they are, and as amazing as they were, they're not one of those legendry bands. Thus I'd say they can only continue to go on if they either..... a)get more and more pop orientated, as soon the die hards are going to give up, and it's going to become an increasingly big charts/sinlges fna bass. b) return to their roots, either TD or earlyer, in which case they'll gain more respect, possiably sell less, but will have a stronger fan base.
Most likely I think they'll just meander along, and after a few years/albums probably decide to either pack it in, or revert back to how they used to be

These Days are not Bon Jovi roots. That was a deviation from their roots actually.

This band is respected a lot by their fellow musicians. And if some choose to not see that, that's their choice. Nominating so average a song as Everyday for a Grammy shows a lot of respect for the artist.

I don't think they are gonna stop any time soon. They are doing really well right now.

watch any documentary on the band (not overseen by them) and you'll see otherwise
