o.k. I do my best to sound really condescending and to annoy as much people as possible, except my those with actual debate skills( you konw you you are!)....

o.k. some pople in this thread need to grow up- (you know who you are)... they need to get enough maturity to have a good debate, and, as we say in law, you need to support your point with clear and convincing evidence, i.e. that is with some real fact or reflection. To all of these children, i will say that insulting a fellow jovitalk member for stupid reason is clearly not "convincing evidence" that will support your point!!!

that was my own attempt at being a stupid child...what do you think, did I succeed?

Mike, sorry to tell you, but there are people who HONESTLY and not BLINDLY like what the band does. It's called, in some cases, having an open mind. Many of you probably approach albums PRAYING for the "These Days" formula. I hope for anything Bon Jovi can give. Do I have to like it? No, but I usually do. I can name plently of negative things about Bon Jovi. But why should I? Why should I sit around on a COMPUTER saying negative things about Bon Jovi, my favorite band, on a fan site?

[quote]

I dont pray for These days, but it's a very good album.... I basically want a rock album, which these days catered for, as did al the otehr Jovi albums, but Crush and Bounce didn't!

You should say them because it's called having an opinion, and expressing it..... We're a discussion board, not a praise Jovi board. Of cource we like them, and I say a lot of possitive things about them, but I do have ballance, and will express my opinion.....

Quote:
Am I defending Bon Jovi? Of course! Why? Because I actually like the band. I'm a fan. I'm not a critic
Let me quote a gain. You're saying here you're a fan, therefore you won't critisise the band.... Critise doesn't mean negative, it means objective to some degree, and being able to comment on the music, and talk about it. You like the band, but somehow think I don't?????? The fact is, you're saying you're defending the band against our opinions, when you have non of your own!

If I wanted to read how Bon Jovi are marvolous in everything they do, how they are gods of music who have never written a bad note, I'll go over to backstage......

elvis is something very speciall. bon jovi are/where also quite speciall but not as elvis, the king!
Bon Jovi will never be iconic, very very few bands are...... For instance, I wouldn't say Bon Jovi are one of those acts that everybody who likes rock music has to see..... in the way Dylan, or Sprinsteen, or Yes are..... Brilliant as they are, and as amazing as they were, they're not one of those legendry bands. Thus I'd say they can only continue to go on if they either..... a)get more and more pop orientated, as soon the die hards are going to give up, and it's going to become an increasingly big charts/sinlges fna bass. b) return to their roots, either TD or earlyer, in which case they'll gain more respect, possiably sell less, but will have a stronger fan base.
Most likely I think they'll just meander along, and after a few years/albums probably decide to either pack it in, or revert back to how they used to be
you are right mike. the only thing bon jovi is going to be proud of when they are 60 years is that they have mangaged to sell 100 million albums and they have been playing for 25 years. the rest is just crap.
I hope the will go for alternative b, or else i'm not going to hang at this board anymore.

to everyone who thinks its wrong to critizies Bon jovi, you CAN still be a fan even if you don't like their latest efforts.

bon jovis status/Acknowledged has never been very large (big...). but of course they are not classified as a bunch of losers.

why all this chatter about spelling, it doesn't mean anything!

although using that version as correct English would imply that he's just purchased the girl or picked her up off a street corner or something...

the "Without Love" version of Bon Jovi

However, have you ever heard of something called Artistic Expression? "Everyday" should actually be Every Day, but it's Artistic Expression.
I have heard of that yes Captain Puff but i really do not consider missing out an " 've " or a space to be very artistic
