Technically yes, but as concerts are not always released officially, it means bootleg sellers/traders are not causing the companies to lose any money, so they don't bother as much with live material as they do copies of officially released material.

The reason people download is because they can't afford to spend £10+ on a single CD of music, and they only cost so much because the record companies are so greedy. They could sell albums for £5, and still make tons of profit...and more people would buy them instead of downloading, so they'd make probably more money % wise than before.

That's Universal's stance on lowering their CD prices. According to the new Entertainment Weekly, the US cost of a Universal CD should be around $10 by the 4th quarter, which means TLFR will cost around $10 when it's released. I guess we'll see if that makes an impact in sales. There are some other big releases slated for the same day.

B-sides and demo's are often too officially released.

Well, you can't get a hold of them that easily over here, since we don't release singles anymore and Imports are very expensive.

I hope I'll be able to wait the release date. I didn't want to download Bounce but I didnt resist the temptation! When you have already listen to an album, it's not the same when you buy it at the store. You already know how It's going to be. This time I hope I'll be stronger

WOW!!! If that is true, I might actually replace all my vinyl. LOL.

Seriously though, I don't think it'll have that great of an impact. I might be pessimistic, but I think people will always try to get away with as much as they possibly can. Hence, they won't pay for it if they can download, no matter how much/little. I am not talking about people living in countries where they cannot buy certain items in the store, or kids with an allowance. I know a lot of people that could afford to buy albums, software, etc. but choose to download, just because they are cheap b*****

Plus, who wants to get sued?
Nicely put...I did that with Bounce. Skipped class so I could be at the mall right when it opened. I was decked out in my school uniform and the clerk just gave me a strange look when he saw what i was buying.

Last year, I had Bounce before it was released. What a feeling hearing those tunes online for the first time. It didn't stop me from purchasing the offical copy of the cd (which I actually bought 3 of them in the long run ).

Can't wait to hear the new tunes!

If it leaks before the official release date then I will probably download it. But since Bounce didn´t leak hopefully TLFR won´t leak either. If there´s a change to hear it somewhere in advance, I wanna hear it. But I will buy it anyway.

But most singles cost about 10 Dollars including shipping costs on Ebay. That's not very expensive is it ?
