I'm getting a bit sick of the lyric "live while I'm alive" They used it in Sleep, then came IML and now Everyday. We've heard it by now.
me to! its a quite stupid line...

I don't think so, though I think the song itself sucks. But I think it's about a girl you really want but you can't get since she's doing al sorts of stupid things she never did before. If they would have put the lyrics on a better melody, it would have worked I think.
there is nothing wrong with the song, except the lyrics. like the harder tunes that they do in that song, I want to see more of that.

Thinking of five songs I hated was hard, but this took only split second, LOL!
The question was 'Worst LYRICS', not songs that you hated. Can you hate a song from a few lyrics in it?
I undertstood the question--"Everybody rides on the karma train" is FROM the song Ballad Of Youth (which would I think that someone calling himself 'Bluesman' would know!) The songs I hated referred to another thread.

Everytime I hear "Right Side of Wrong" I like it just a little bit more...but I still hate the line 'slip these sweatsocks in your shirt/and pray they think you're packin'...it just doesn't fit the tone of the song for me, or something.

Let's kick things off with the dumbest lyrics ever:
"When you're hungry I will fill you up
When you're thirsty drink out of my loving cup"
-Diamond Ring (I don't know if I want to burst out laughing or vomit when I hear those two lines.)

Now on to the just plain bad lyrics.
"You're not in Kansas anymore"
-Mystery Train
"Making love on the telephone"
-Get Ready
"They came walking through my jungle"
-To the Fire
"All the good s***'s gone"
-Someday I'll be Saturday Night and Hey G-d
"Broken hearts can't call the cops"
-Hearts Breaking Even
"I'll wave the flag if you defend her" (What the heck is he talkin' about?)
-Raise Your Hands

Also,

Everybody loves a winner
Till the winners lose
And then it's front page news
-Stranger in this Town

The answer scared me into tears
And all the grownups laughed out loud
-The Answer

There really aren't too many bad lines, but the ones I don't like are both from Bounce (album):

I'm reachin' out for you, c'mon--take me on.
-Hook Me Up
Take me on? What the heck does that mean? It's just an incoherent rhyme.

As the words slipped off of my tounge, sounding dumb.
-Misunderstood
This seems like such a childish and uncreative line, something more along the lines of a bad punk song.
