"Hey people, can't you hear the voices that are crying out?"
- 'King Of The Mountain'

It's just BAD.

"Diamond Ring, wear it on your hand, its gonna tell the world I'm your only man"

It sounds like a Nursery Rhyme!

Keep On Rockin'

Gee people! I disagree with quite many of you, esp. with Keba...

Quote:
"You're not in Kansas anymore"
-Mystery Train
I think this is a great reference to Oz... get it?

Now Mystery Train reminds me of The Dark Tower III/IV, Wizard & Glass (Stephen King). Great series... has anyone read those?

...to a place
I've never been before...

Yes, I get the reference to Oz, but "You're not in Kansas anymore" sounds like it was used as rhyme just to fill the space.

Man, Mystery Train is my favorite song and the Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie! I love that reference.

Here is the worst writing:

Lay Your Hands on Me
Lay Your Hands on Me
Lay Your Hands on MEEEEE
Lay Your Hands on Me
Lay Your Hands on Me
LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME

I wonder how long it took them to create that chorus?

And, also,

You are not alone... you are not alone... you are not alone... you are not alone... you are not alone... you are not alone (reapeat 41 times)

So, while I'm picking on repetition, I'd also like to state that April is my least favorite of Dave's songs.

I never went to college
I don't have a degree
Let's say I went to night school
I learned all I know on the streets
I wasn't born a rich man
I ain't got no pedigree
The sweat on this old collar
That's my Ph.D.

Can it get more pathetic than this???

Or how about this one?
I don't wanna fall
I don't wanna fall
I don't wanna fall
I don't wanna fall
To the fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiir e
(The whole song is pretty stupid. I only like To the Fire for the music.)

And I just remembered another phrase that I'm not too fond of: "Joey's parents owned a restaurant." I didn't know what to think when I heard this song for the first time.
