Would Bon Jovi get more respect if they weren't goodlooking?

His songs are good, but without Meatloaf they'd be nothing.... He hasn't got an amazing voice, but he just fills the songs out. Nobody else would be able to do them, and make them sound great like that. I know he it's Steinman who writes the songs, but Meatloaf doesn't JUST sing them, he peformes them, and his peformance goes way beyond just singing!!!!!

That's fantatic, but I'd say virtually everybody here (I'm not saying everybody because I don't know everybody, but everybody I do this applies to) is listening to the band for the music. That's the driving factor, it woudln't matter what they looked like, they'd still probably be listening to them. But there are a lot of people out there who do not apreciate the music, but who find them attractive....

I don't understand this at all, but people do listen to music for stupid reasons.... Even at say a Steve Vai concert, where your seeing music being played about as good as music can be played, they'll be somebody who's gone along just to got very drunk. You see them, they won't remember a thing, can't concentrate and apreciate the music, and probably pass out before hte set finishes. Some peopel have very strange ideas!

Bon jovi havnt got where they are today on looks alone, image will only get you so far. Sure the sex appeal of Jon especially does the band no harm, but its definately the music whats made sure thier still around after 20 years.

ahhhh nothing like abit of double standards i'm a guy i have a long term girlfriend and i'm content enough with my sexuality that i can hey, the guys in Bon Jovi are good looking guys, doesn't mean i want to rip their calvin kleins off with my teeth which i'm sure alot of girls here would like to do.

Yeah but what you said was just shallow. Did you mean to actually say that? - most fans would still buy their records no matter what they looked like!

I love listening to Jon's voice singing those songs and I love listening to each of the intruments on each of the songs. I've heard the songs so many times but I still notice different things in the music that I hadn't noticed before!
Sure, there is no denying that Jon is incredibly good looking and very sexy but that to me is just a fabulous bonus!!
