General standing area is usually much more relaxed, that's why I've seen 9 out of 12 shows from there. It's the fans upfront that are somehow often under the illusion that them being there would make a difference for Jon because they had caught some of his show smiles previously. And they act accordingly.

Sounds like a right pain. I'm tempted to go GC next time if only to see some people I've met on twitter etc, certainly not near the front though.

I don't recommend the front of GC either mate. I HATED it. Too cramped, people with no consideration and it didn't bother .e being 'close' to the band.

I much preferred the shows when I was at the back of GC because I could jump around a lot more and have a bloody good dance. Which I love doing...

Yeah exactly mate, would be great to meet up with people like yourself and Andy etc but I need to be able to move around too

And Xavi, I've read the headline of the Spain's newspaper was: "Devoción en Palma por Jon Bon Jovi".
