"Bad Medicine" hooked me. To this day I remember sitting on the floor in my bedroom studying with the radio on when the radio station played their "Hit or Miss" new song for the night. I was excited to hear it because I had liked all the singles from SWW. I wanted SWW badly, but when I was 11-12 my mother wouldn't let me buy "metal" music. LOL When I heard Bad Medicine I thought it was the greatest song EVER. It was all about the music for me. I didn't have MTV and didn't buy teeny-bopper magazines at that point so I'd never even seen them. I just knew I liked their music and wanted to hear more of it. I got SWW and NJ the same day and haven't been the same since! Then in 1989 I got to see my first concert. That was the point of no return. I had always loved music and spent hours every day listening to music from the time I was 3 years old, but nothing compared to seeing/hearing music live. I was lucky that my first concert was my favorite band which just happend to be one of the best live acts on the planet. Some artists just don't translate well live and I wonder if I'd seen some other act first if I'd ever even cared about concerts.

It was little after New Jersey came out. I'd heard some songs before and liked them, but New Jersey brought them really to my attention.

I actually became a fan of the band when Crush was released. I'd heard IML on the radio, but didn't think too much of it. We have digital music stations through cable and I kept hearing TYFLM but could never find out who the artist was. Finally, I figured out that it was Bon Jovi and went out to buy Crush (which was actually easier said than done). Listened to it constantly then finally found Crossroads. After that I caught up with the other albums.

However, I don't think I really got into the band until I saw them live...and that was it.

It was probably late 2000. Crush made me a fan, then I got Crossroad, KTF and for Christmas These Days. I was hooked from there on and invested in the rest of the albums and solo stuff in early 2001. I remember it taking me a good few months to get into Destination Anywhere, but all the others were pretty much instantly upon me.

When I was born, my eleven year old brother was already a die hard-fan. Bon Jovi-music was the soundtrack to my childhood. We actually have a home-recorded video, and this is true, where Iīm three years old and my brother asks me to name all the members of the band and which instrument they play. And I do it with no problem at all. Even my english isnīt that bad .. The next scene, Iīm dancing my ass off to LYHOM!
So the band has ALWAYS been there, throughtout those 21 years. But I gotta admit, I really enjoyed the Crush-period, 'cause that was when all my friends realised that there actually was a band called Bon Jovi. And I got to experience a Bon Jovi-hype when I was a teenager, just as my brother!

i remember LOAP been played on the radios or some tv shows. but i didn't start to love them till the KTF video. I remember watching KTF video on MTV, and amazing with jon's voice .. i wondered who they were cause it sounded so great... but i told a friend, who was a big fan then, to copy KTF LP for me, and i amazed with that album.. but i didn't start to buy any of their records till Crossroad.. it is funny cause before becaming a fan, i always laughed at them (specially about theis lycra pants jejej) and now.. i'm a "friki"" (freak in english)
