How did this song get to number 5? Was there plenty of promotion in the Uk for this song?? i know have a nice day done pretty well, but for a 3rd single for bon jovi number 5 is pretty high isnt it? especially in 2006!

It was the original not the country one that's why :P Ya know, if Jon didn't make us all allergic to that song by extreme overexposure to 'it's alright' it's not actually that bad a song. And the 'alternate' dog video is ****ing awesome.

I think a lot of it was down to Welcome kinda bombing as a second single... and to be fair WSYCGH is much better single material than Welcome.

It was also released when the band was here for the UK leg of the HAND tour. You could actually download a live version of the song from the gig you were at.

I completely forgot about that... it was scrolled across the stage wasn't it? 10 minutes longer than the usual version no doubt

Yep, this is the promotion that helped it to the top 5. Shame that the song you downloaded was just one from the US tour anyway, but it was a nice idea and I dont understand why they dont have a single on general release for every tour- you have a captive audience of up to 80,000 people at times, you could easily get them to download something there and then on their phones.

I don't remember it being a radio hit or anyone mentioning it around the time.

I actually heard some girl listening to it on her iPod on the bus recently. I assume she was a mentalist.
