Default X-factor has negative impact on Bon Jovi.

Dunno if this has been posted or not but apparently Bon Jovi suffered a decline in online mentions after going on the x-factor. Some report says they did worse than all the other artists who've been on.

Article: http://www.eadt.co.uk/content/eadt/b...4/1960439.aspx

Report: http://www.nielsen-online.com/pr/pr_100114_uk.pdf

I guess going on the x-factor was a bad idea.

i think that's a pretty pointless analysis to be honest. bon jovi can hardly be expected to be discussed as much as some of the more contemporary artists (lady gaga, rihanna) of today. i'm convinced their appearence helped the album reach number 2 in the uk. it was great exposure, despite what reservations many have about 'selling out.'

having said that, the performance itself wasn't great.

The performance was pretty bad, Jon sounded really strained.

it was a major improvement on the meadowlands version but it kinda sucked that the track was playback and richie's solo was cut. i was seriously pissed with that.

They've been performing it a while and it doesn't sound great, even now.

It actually sounds more boring now. Jon's voice is incredibly boring in the live version. In addition to that, he just stands in one spot while flailing his arms like a wild Goose.

Listening to its album counterpart, I would have thought that it would be a particularly energetic song when performed in a live setting. I was wrong. Jon is the weakest link.

Jon seems bored. Its probably more about money now than it is making his fans happy.

Suggesting that having millions see the band performing was a bad move, is pretty silly.
