Its the acutal show they performed on, Although the X factor is popular, its just a money making machine for the producer (cowell) and the production comapny, cheap to produce TV, Yes it got massive veiwing figures to get WWBTF and the Band out to the public, but as was first mentioned, The show isnt what the BON JOVI ethic is (was!!!) about. Anyone remember what Jon said about the music business in LAST MAN STANDING, and some of his intro speeches to the song, the version on the TLFR dvd comes to mind. Personally i was saddened by the appearance........BUT with JBJ being a businessman rather than a rockstar for the people (at the moment), appearing on X factor made commercial sense

I don't think it's X-factor. I think it's the new album itself which is not that strong.

Indeed?

Worse albums from Jovi this decade have sold better numbers, I thinks its a strong album, I just think that the charts are awash with ten-a-penny pop acts that draw all the attention and sales.

The performance was pretty average, but it was better than I expected. The version they played was pretty much as good as the studio recording. What pissed me off the most though was when Jon started kissing Cowell's ass saying "listen to every word he says, the man knows", etc. There was no need for that.

I called this before they went on the show.

The X Factor is only respected by drones and even they were turned off by that mediocre performance of that mediocre song.

No wonder they can't sell out a night at the O2

Who wants a fight with Simon?

The album is good.
on the contrary of the others albums of this decade, which I really like 4 or 5 songs, this one I only dislike 2 songs.
Therefore, for me...it's a very good album.

Who cares? There was no need to kiss his ass though. Jon has achieved way more in his career than Cowell can even dream of. They went on the show for promotion, no doubt about that, and probably picked up a nice appearance fee too, but there's no need to kiss ass. Jon's been around too long to have to do that. In fact it would probably have helped Bon Jovi promotionally if he had have started a fight with Simon Cowell.

That certainly would have been more rock and roll!
