To get back on topic here, I think that YHMFH is better than AALY. It kinda has a dreamy feel to it that AALY lacks. Still, I don't think it would have been single-worthy (not that I think AALY is). I say, Bounce, Bounce, BOUNCE!

You had me from hello is the most beautiful BJ-ballad for years in my opinion. Way better than Always, AALY, TAALS and the other bombast ballad crap. But I don't think it would work as a single. Even a lot of fans don't like the song very much, I don't think that it is a song for the masses and would sell. The Masses want these bombast ballads.

Not quite a by-the-book ballad, like AALY and TYFLM. What do you guys think? If they had to pick a ballad for a single, wouldn't this have been the better choice? It still wouldn't have been as good as Hook Me Up or Bounce, but still...

Yes I agree with you. The two tracks I still skip are TYFLM and Open all night. I used to skip Had me from hello too, but if you give it a chance, it really is a nice song.

Open All Night is a lovely song, a bit slushy but it remains a nice way to end the album.....

As a matter of fact they donīt want. At least here in finland. Iīm 100% sure that you had me from hello would have been better release. People only laugh at bon jovi cause they never do anything differently. The singlereleases follow the same pattern and the songs too. (Thank You For Loving Me - All About Loving You). I have played "Hello" to my friends who really dont like new Bon Jovi but they have all been surprised that Bon Jovi can be more than those cheesy stadiumballads. And I think that people nowadays are more into smaller songs.... at least up here. Hook Me Up would have been something a bit different too. Bounce was not. and Everyday... well... different maybe, but crap.

I think if they release some singles from the acoustic album... they will make it big. They need to put out some songs that leave some space for the music goddammit.

Although I like You had me from Hello, it always reminds me of Eric Clapton's Wonderful tonight. At least AALY is a bit more original and I do think it was an okay single choice.
