These days is the favorite album of the true bon jovi fan. The album highlights Richies, Tico's, and Dave's playing more than any other album before or since.

Jon puts in his finest vocals to date also, and the lyrics and mood put it on another level as far as albums like Crush, Bounce, or hand go.

American 'fans' turned their backs on these days, probably because they saw less of jon's smile or maybe because the songs were a bit hard to swallow.

I'm sure if bon jovi decided to play These days in its entirety at a European show we'd be more than happen to go mental.

But I don't think jon has enough of a grasp on what us fans want at live shows. I.e Captain crash?.

Ah well

These Days is the album that was in my car while I was driving to Newark to all 10 of the recent shows. Perhaps that is why I was dissatisfied with the setlists

It is not just the only Bon Jovi album I never get sick of, it is one of the few albums from anyone that I don't get sick of. Bruce's Born to Run and Zeppelin's 4th (Zoso) come to mind plus Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. To me it's theme is timeless and even if I come to absolutely hate the rest of their releases - I will always love the band for that album.

It is in my opinion there greatest achievement. Pre These Days, especially in the 80s they did write great music. SWW, NJ are great albums. But can you listen to them over and over? I personally can't, These Days has that spark, that extra bit of depth that makes you press play just once more.
Those extra things that i've noticed each time I listen, the way Richie sings "the nights that i go insane." The word 'go' has such a guttural passion to it. The slow fade in of These days itself, its perfect production, that extra acoustic guitar playing a variation on the riff in your right ear. Jons ten second scream of a Bb on My Guitar lies Bleeding. SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN, learning that jon wrote that just after the new jersey tour just cements the intention and passion behind those lyrics. I could go on (I LOVE THIS ALBUM)

If only they still did this, i believe that they can. Just in a different way with they way things have changed (mainly jons voice.) I kind of hope Jon sticks to his word of stopping touring, maybe then they'll write something different, something with true passion again.

'Tis a great album. Something To Believe is no doubt my favourite song on it, meh it's probably one of my favourite Bon Jovi songs.

Oh, and saying that a person is a true fan only if they think These Days is the band's best album is so valid?
