Pop is short for popular. That's where the word came from. They mean the same thing.

Yes, stupid. The whole point of mourning is that you are sad about something that existed but is gone now.

Isn't that exactly what you are doing? Your RIP sig. gave that away. Kind of obvious that you are mourning the loss of the "old" BJ.

Wow, you're like a parrot. Living in the past, living in the past. Please show me where did I say I wanted the past back or asked anyone to mourn? You must really value yourself if you think I give a **** about what you do.
I am glad I got my point across as that was my intention. Value myself? When did I ever say that you should give a crap about what I do? Just because I choose to move on, doesn't mean you should do the same. You have a right to your opinion, just as I have a right to mine.

So if I like a movie from 1980, I'm living in the past?
If you continue to harp on the fact that they don't make movies like that anymore, yes, you are living in the past.

Pop is popular the last time I checked.

Thanks ShaSha..I caught that after I posted.

Mousebounce, I said your sentence about mouring was stupid because you wrote that there is no sense in mourning something that is lost. That is the point of mourning and that's why what you said makes no sense. And yes I'm in mourning I guess though I think disappointed is a better word. The RIP signature was to mark an end of an era.

Luckily they toured a lot in those years so I have lots of material to collect to give me the rock fix.

I don't think pop is the same as popular. So if a metal song becomes really popular, it is suddenly in the pop genre? I guess I have a different view of what pop is. As as I see it a pop song (pop by genre) can be unpopular and vice versa.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, as I should have explained myself. I meant there is no point in mourning the loss of the old BJ, as it will never come back.

Just to clarify though, the 80's and early 90's were my favorite period of BJ music.

I can't really compare anything because I've only been to one show. I know I've missed the glory years of the 80s and the comeback of the 90s, but what's past is past and I don't really want to think about what I missed. I'm just looking forward. I want to get as much out of Bon Jovi as I can before they really are gone.

BTW, this is off topic, but thanks for changing your sig. I don't aprove of that little habit, either. Good thing Jon's not freely advertising cigarettes like he used to on the DA and Crush photoshoots.
