4. Say It Isn't So
5. In These Arms (Dave Vox on first verse)
6. This Ain't a Love Song
7. I'd Die For you
8. Captain Crash And The Beauty Queen From Mars
9. Love's The Only Rule
10. Dry County
11. Stranger In This Town (Richie Vox)
~Acoustic~
12. Diamond Ring
13. I'll Be There For You
14. Mystery Train
15. Something To Believe In
16. Love For Sale
~Back To Electric~
17. Lay Your Hands On Me
18. Have a Nice Day
19. Good Guys Don't Always Wear White
20. Hey God
21. The Radio Saved My life Tonight
22. Bad Medicine W/Pretty Woman
23. Wild Is The Wind
24. Always
25. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night

Encore 1:
26. I Believe
27. Blood On Blood W/Acoustic Intro
28. Wanted Dead Or Alive W/Ride Cowboy Ride intro.
29. Keep The Faith

Encore 2:
30. These Days
31. Livin' On A Prayer

Encore 3:
32. Never Say Goodbye

This thread should be renamed "List your 30 favorite Bon Jovi songs in random order"

Most of these setlists are stupid. 30 songs that 95% of the audience has never heard before would go off like a lead balloon. The atmosphere alone would bore me to death.

Is that a challenge for me to explain my setlist song by song, because I can

there is a reason it's called a 'dream setlist' not the most realistic setlist thread

Yours was fine - if not a little long. You included all the #1s and big hits.

The only problem I have with your setlist is that you have completely avoided the first two albums, Blaze Of Glory, Bounce and Lost Highway. Which hardly is able to showcase a bands career. But then again, it's YOUR dream setlist. If I had to chose a setlist, I would include songs that I do not nessasarely care for as much, but still highlights a song from each album.

1. I Believe
2. Wild In The Streets
I chose these two as openers because they would work. Audience members would know I Believe just as much as they would know Blood On Blood. Wild In The Streets would be known just as much as Born To Follow because it is on Slippery When Wet, and the majority of the audience probably owns that album.

3. You Give Love A Bad Name
4. Born To Be My Baby
Throw some hits in the beginning to get the crowd going. These are both fan favorites and both have been vastly improved live this past tour.

5. In These Arms
6. Runaway
7. Blaze Of Glory
Play a few songs that don't slow down the setlist. From the shows I've seen, the slower songs like ST and WWWB completely kill the hype built up from playing bad name and baby.

8. It's My Life
9. This Ain't A Love Song
10. One Wild Night
Keep the energy going and don't lose it. If your going to be playing a 28 song set list, don't kill the energy at the beginning. Songs like IML are nessasary and kind of work. In the ninth spot is where you want to put a ballad, but make sure you pick it back up right after.

11. Bad Medicine (Doctor, Doctor)
12. Stranger In This Town (Richie)

Assuming this is a regular "Special" Bon Jovi show, the template here calls for Bad Medicine and then a Richie Song. Which is good, as Bad Medicine is high energy and fun. Then Richie should sing a slower song to bring down the mood for the acoustic set.

13. Any Other Day
14. I'll Be There For You
15. Something For The Pain (acoustic)
16. These Days (acoustic)

This is the on-the-circle set. Most of the Audience aren't really looking for a song they've heard before, so they won't care. A monster hit right in the middle (IBTFY) will hopefully be good enough to keep people interested. I always thought it would be cool if Richie joined Jon on the circle and ripped out an amazing o2ish AOD solo.

17. Lay Your Hands On Me (Long Drum/keyboard intro)
18. Undivided
18. Something To Believe In
19. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
20. Keep The Faith (Sympathy For The Devil)

Now, the audience needs something to get back up on their feet. LYHOM is a perfect song, especially since it gives Jon and Richie some time to rest their vocals. Keep the energy going with Undivided, (a fan favorite) and then play a big monster die hard ballad. Pick it up again with two fun and fast crowd interacting songs, and then close the show.

-Encore-
21. Tokyo Road
22. Wanted Dead Or Alive
23. Love's The Only Rule
Encores are generally supposed to be for the diehards. Open with a very rare fast song. Even if the crowd isn't as interested, the diehards will be pleased. Also, the audience will be rewarded with Wanted, a song that both diehards and casual fans alike seam to really enjoy. Then close with LTOR because well... I like it as a closer

-Encore 2-
24. (It's Hard) Letting You Go
25. Livin' On A Prayer

The fans still want Livin on a Prayer, and the diehards are still looking for more. Play a song for each and end the night. Everyone will leave happy.

The setlist isn't abnormally long, AND I didn't include all my favorites. If they played this very realistic setlist (maybe adding WSYCGH and WWBTF in somewhere) everyone would be happy. Except yomamasofat. I purposely left BOB out for that reason.

For every one or two unknown songs, it is followed with a song everyone knows, to keep the fans interested, as well as the diehards.
