1) Keep the Faith
2) This Left Feels Right - i really really enjoyed this album, i thought it showed the bands capabilities to extend out of the rock music. It just showed them to me as musicians, rather than just a group of Jersey boys who can write hits. A lot of people here seem to really hate it, which surprises me, but I do have to say, its TLFR that hooked me to this band well and truly. I heard these reworkings of the greatest hits before i heard many of the actual releases, but I still see it as one of their best works. Guess I'm a little biased though.

4)These Days
5) New Jersey

Wow, how does one do this???

Well...1-4 are all interchangable depending on mood:
Keep the Faith
Bounce
Slippery When Wet
New Jersey

It might actually be in that order! But to be honest, I seem to only really listen to whatever they've most recently released (with the exception of Crush)- so Bounce gets way more plays than the rest. Bounce is just extremely close to my heart because it came out at a really amazing time in my life and I associate all the songs with it. It's like a soundtrack to falling in love! HEEHEE

I just feel so "80's" when I listen to the early stuff ha ha. When I look at 'classic' status, nothing can top SWW. For years, though, KTF was my favorite. To me it sounds less dated than SWW or NJ. So basically- in an 80's nostalgic mood- gotta put on SWW or NJ. But if I want just good ol' tunes, it's KTF. It's really tough- there's just awesome stuff on each album, but no one album really can top the other. It's all about the classics on each of them. I guess I have to create a mixed cd...but I'm a self-proclaimed album person and like to hear it in the order it was intended!
Oh a comment on NJ...I like it but sometimes I think Jon was trying too hard to be Springsteen and it irks me. But you can't get better than Born to Be My Baby or I'll Be There for You!!! They are in top form as musicians in that album.

OK I'll have a go at the rest:

Actually, you know what...the rest of their canon pales in comparison to the 4 I just mentioned.

Have a Nice Day- so far, so good. It's awfully poppy and it sounds like Jon's just trying to sell records, but these boys know how to write catchy tunes and you can't deny that is an amazing talent!

Crush- a few good songs but SO MUCH FILLER!

7800 - Now, I sort of like this one haha. Even though it's kind of depressing, it doesn't seem like they're forcing themselves to be like on TD, they actually ARE depressed so it's real ha ha. I love Only Lonely, Silent Night, Hardest Part of the Night.

These Days - too depressing for me and I can't listen through it without wanting to slit my wrists (kidding). It's just very anti-Bon Jovi to me. Like they were trying to put on some new persona and it didn't work. But it does have at least 3 good songs on it.

Bon Jovi- they were just so young and green and it shows. But Runaway is such a classic!!! I haven't played this disc since probably 1989!!! ha ha! (I actually had it on vinyl!!)

This Left Feels Right- what a joke. So not necessary. The DVD at least was fun and interesting. But geez- how much did Lay Your Hands on Me make me wanna barf?!?!!

I don't have the box set yet, but my boyfriend does. He put a few tunes on his iPod and I love a few of them- particularly "Miss Fourth of July."

I won't count Crossroads cuz you can get those songs on all the albums.

Please forgive my candidness - hope I didn't offend some people. I like these boards because it seems people aren't afraid of being critical of a band they love!

Whoops forgot to add One Wild Night Live...but who cares? That was the most disappointing release ever!!! They are known for their live shows and that's what they put out??

1. SWW
2. New Jersey
3. KTF
4. Bon Jovi
5. 7800

The rest won't fit on the list, apart from few songs on the box set. TLFR wouldn't fit even if I'd list the 100 best albums. Or 1000.
