To clear this up, as Ice said, "Bad Name" was written by Jon, Richie and Desmond Child. In fact, it was written for the band Loverboy, but Jon liked it so much he wanted it.

As for who it was written for, Jon has said it was written about ex-girlfriend actress Diane Lane.
