You're an asshole: Jon Bon Jovi slams Justin Bieber for ‘disrespecting’ fans

Watch Bieber's Billboard speech....It does seem the kid is starting to take himself a bit to seriously.

And Becky would NEVER use sarcasm.

But so does Jon at times and I am annoyed by it too. One thing I liked about Jon was that he used to be fair towards other artists but if he starts "slamming" them, it is not cool at all.
And I think he should stop hinting at the 'Richie problem': one day he is nice and understanding the other day he is complaining, it is not very professional!

Sometimes I question basic reading comprehension skills.
Jon doesn't call Beiber an asshole, he says that if an artist does that enough times eventually people turn on them, and they're an asshole for not working.

All I know about the Biebs is that whenever a song of his comes on SongPop, I always get it wrong because I swear it's a girl singing.

Agreed. But, Jon has been caught cranky over the years and said less than positive things about other bands/artists. Nothing really new there as far as the Richie thing, I think he's trying hard to remain silent but he's the one being badgered right now while Richie is hiding out and has started to crack.

No he said it, I'm not refuting that. I'm saying the press is taking his point and turning it into a slam on Bieber when it wasn't. It was a slam on people who do it repeatedly.

You're absolutely right. I see now what you mean...they turned his generalized statement into the headline directing it to Bieber.

It's not really in direct quotes, though. What's in direct quotes is: "Do it once, you can be forgiven. Do it enough times and shame on you. They won't have you back. Then it just becomes a cliché. It's really not cool — you're an a**hole. Go to f***in' work!". Which is VERY different than saying: "Justin Bieber, you're an asshole". So I agree about the press trying to find dirt in anything. Jon should be more careful, especially with the UK press. But it must be hard for him these days having to bottle everything up inside.
