Sorry about that. To me ageing something positive so I guess that’s why I sort of expressed myself clumsy.

Eitherway, you aren't older then you feel.

easy for you to say at 21! Ugh!

Honestly though, I always thought anything beyond 25 was ancient and I never wanted to live that long. I've long past that stage and I am not to bothered about my age nowadays, but then... sometimes it does hit you like 'where on earth did the years go?'. It's quite shocking to go about your business, feeling 21 and realizing you have your 35th birthday :S

Like Russ said, middle age is more like 50 and once I am 50, I'd say it's more like 60, etc... So, I think it is natural that you would think 30 is middle aged - just don't tell anybody at 30

I see your point Maria, and I guess I can't really tell until I'm there. You will be the first to know when I feel my age is strangling me...

And Allwyn, Girls just mess up your world anyway! And each and everyday they get more and more like your mother….

All of you should quit complaining. I still wonder where the years went - I'm still me - albeit with perhaps a wider perspective on things. However, my reactions to events and my personality hasn't really changed much since I've been about 18 - I still get outraged about the same damn things - still get excited about the same things. Yet people think I'm "old".

I have a mother who is 81 this year that is still flying (and hiking) all over the world. She is a photographer and she is not about to give up her lifelong love. She still totes all her own gear around - though she is eternally grateful for the digital revolution. The gear now weighs a lot less.

Age is a state of mind. I know people way younger than I am that are such stick in the muds. They won't consider anything new and different as good, they are not open to new ideas - and god forbid you should change their daily routine. THEY are old.

Kathleen

I feel old at 23. When I hit 20 it came as a real shock for me. Oh my god I'm a teenager no longer, where has my youth gone? Now it's 3 years later and it only seems like 3 months. Where is my life going?
