I dont think this is true.
Jon said in his blog thingy on the site that they aren't hitting the road till Feb.
He does have a tendancy to lie though.

I reckon they could fill it for around 12 shows, then it'd start to get patchy.

Did Prince sell all his dates?

yea i think but he was charging something like £27 for all ticket types and that also came with a free copy of his new album! which obviously helped!

cant quite imagine Bon Jovi doin that :P

surely if they did do a recidencey they couldnt charge the amount they charged for their last O2 gig...wasnt that even more expensive than MJ tickets were being sold at face value? :O

Yeah, floor seats were £100 each before booking fees at the venue's opening event.

i doubt very much they would do 20 shows. It wouldnt surprise me if they did a couple. Perhaps they'll fill a few of the ones that were left in feb cos I think MJ had dates in feb and it would fit in with Jon saying they'll be hitting the road in feb.

Yes. Every night was a sell-out. They didn't all sell out straight away but i was certaintly surprised at how quick they did go.
Extra tickets were released on the morning on most shows too, if you were lucky enough you could off snapped up some that way. But even they went QUICK.

But as mentioned, tickets were great value (£31.21 for any seat in the house) and you got a free CD too.

A couple of night s at the O2 woukld be pretty cool, promo shows. But please not a residency!

Oh thank God i thought it might just be me who was not happy bout this "news"!i wasnt impressed with the o2 and certainly wouldnt want to see them do a stretch like that, especially if it ment sacrificing stadium dates in the summer.has anyone asked Obie?i tried to but somehow couldnt get the page up?

There are barely 20 nights available at the O2 in November and December anyway - and certainly not that many in a straight run.
The last thing they'd want is to have to dismantle any stage so that another act can use for one night, then set up again.

As far as I can see, IF it's true, dates would be:

November:
18-30th with exception of 22nd.

December:
1-6

That's a maximum of 17 nights......

Never been to the venue but isnt' it very utopistic with so much dates? I guess after the first few shows they won't sell enough tickets anymore. It just would get boring after the time especially with minimum variety on the setlist.
