23. Bad Medicine

Round 6 tonight in Greenville! Will Beautiful Drug return? Or some other song from 2020? Given that Blood In The Water is a fan favourite, we can safely assume that we won't be getting this much on this leg (if at all) since they've always been very good at keeping those from the setlists (Brokenpromiseland, I Am and so on...)
Is one of the big ballads gonna return or premiere? Or will the encore duo Who Says / Bad Medicine stay?

Last time the band played in Greenville was on February 8th, 2017. It was the first show of the THINFS and featured Always which was praised as "Jon's getting his voice back" at the time, but looking back on it, it wasn't too good either.

In 2017 people were complaining, but at least he could sing. That Always performance wasn't the best but compared to what we're hearing now, it was absolutely epic. What I'd give to have 2017 or even 2018-19 JBJ back.. the decline was very gradual from the 90's to 2019 and then this year.. BOOM.. it's just completely gone. So sad.

Our tickets say 8:00 PM. Does anyone know whether this means the doors open at 8:00 or the gig starts at 8:00?

I think that's when the show is supposed to begin, but probably it will start late and have an opening act first, right? Bon Jovi won't start until 9:30 or later I think.

In St Paul opener started at 7:30pm and Bon Jovi was on stage from 8:20-10:45. I'd be in my seats by 7:30 for the opening band.

It’s them giving you the last opportunity to leave! After that you’re locked in for the whole show…..

It is sad. Just for convo, I'll argue the steepest decline was from 2013 to 2015.
His voice was very nasally on the WAN tour, especially the high notes. But I don't remember him having a problem with pitch or the weird timing/breathing issues he is having now. They were playing 28 song sets and it was tolerable - mostly really fun shows.
When they did that mini tour in 2015, it was like day and night to me (based on youtube videos). Suddenly he was going flat and couldn't sing on time. Neither had ever been problem for him.
I thought the THINFS tour was really bad, vocally. As bad as he sounds now, I don't think it is that much worse than the last tour. I guess I need to go back and listen to those shows again but I don't think it's as steep of a decline as it was from 2013 to 2015.
EDIT: I just listened to Always from Greenville. I totally agree, there is no way he could do that now.

There are parts of the performances of Keep The Faith, It’s My Life, and even Have A Nice Day that seem very tolerable to me. Bad Name and Wanted seem pretty rough.

Hey guys this goes out to all the fans out there going to the shows. If you are going to record videos with the mobile phone, please record it horizontally, so we can use it to make future videos. Be good and don't drink too much.
