1 down - 7 to go

I just got back from Detroit....a great show. I got 10 songs that were either entirely new or were new versions of oldies. It made it feel so fresh.

I'm re-living the show as we speak (listening to Medecine, Raise and Prayer from last night)

Highlights were:

1) the new songs (esp. HAND, Story of My Life, Complicated and Novocaine)

2) The intro to Bad Medecine....I didn't know what was coming and then 'BAM'...nicely disguised

3) Saturday Night - without KTF in the list this was the best song performed. A great live tune and I love teh adlib bridge we always get

4) shooting the shit w/ Obie and having him give me his copy of the setlist (signed by him)


All in all...well worth the 4 hour drive. I can't wait for Montreal in 3 1/2 weeks.

I remember you posted that you liked the song Story of My Life, so I was wondering if it was your favorite of the new songs live? It was mine. I loved it and hope it's one I get to hear again!

As far as favourites from the new album....HAND and Complicated.

Story was great too...but it seemed to lose a bit of power live.....still great though.

I was a little disappointed at one point....Jon gave a little speech about kinking into high gear, and I got all excited only to get 'Who Says'.....I'm not sure about a lot of things but one thing I'm pretty sure of is that Who Says is NOT a High gear song.

Just my 2 cents.....and they had better be putting KTF in there for some of my other shows.
