Yep, you can hardly call them "fans" if they don't take the time to just give the new songs a short listen before going to a show - heck, they're even on Youtube, presented with some fancy videos. It's not as if they didn't have any chance to do so, like in the beginning of the BWC tour.

The setlist needs to cater to all audiences though. Keep the album cuts and lesser known "hits", but evenly spread them among the classics. There needs to be at least 2 more hits in that first 10-12 songs. Bad Name and BTBMB don't cut it for the causal fan. IML should be played sooner, maybe around song #6.

It's only to be expected that it got a bad reaction baring in mind he's playing in a Trump state. Completely agree with any anti Trump sentiments, but the reaction is to be expected.

I think a good mixture is what is needed in the beginning. Some hits to wake the crowd up and some new songs in between to get them interested. But, as already pointed out, Jon's the millionaire here...

The twitter comments about hits is why we are doomed in the US to never get anything but hits. I will say if he wants to have a political/social commentary song do Touch Of Grey!!

Casuals should also realize that bands like Bon Jovi tend to save the big hits for the end of the show, and even the encore. They end the show with Wanted or Prayer, what else could they ask for?

It sounds to me like the Twitter posters haven't followed Bon Jovi since the 90's at the latest. For sure haven't listened to the new album. IMO, maybe shouldn't be there if all they have to do is complain. I think Jon's political views are well known though. I don't really pay too much attention to that part if he does mention something at a concert; just tune that part out I guess would be the best solution!
