This last 2 years tour it seems montreal is the new toronto ... ( 5 shows right ?)
Doing the same venue/city again and again .. same for mohegan casino ..

Why more American dates? What about more of Europe??

After watching a bootleg from Rio de Janeiro, me being the band I wouldn't tour North America anymore, just South. Those people deserve it, what a great atmospehere and rock audience!

When people post such things as you just did it leaves a bad taste in my mouth because once again the us vs them debate continues to rage. Without the people in Noth America and possibly Japan they wouldn't be the successful touring band. I hate any form of Xenophobia. I don't know why posts like these keep coming up.

Nothing against you personally.

I have nothing against North America. I just think they tour there more than it's needed, the same cities as last year.. There are more destinations in Europe where they could go. They can do arenas if that's better for them. The note about South America comes from my astonishment from the Rio show. Real rock show. No ****ing seats and clapping after song. I'm sorry of if anyone feels offended but that's how I see the difference between show on different continents or in different states.

I have to say that I thought the message from Johny was very harsh .... but it's is quite unrealistic to think it is north america and japan that made bon jovi successful. Johny is not xenophobic because he said something harsh toward north america but not to defend HIS COUNTRY ... xenophobia is the fear the hate of the others, of the outside ....
I also think that if bon jovi was touring only south america the shows there would probably turn much more 'boring' ... it is the rarity factor that makes the audience into it ... the more an audience get of something the more jaded bored and flat they will react ....
To say only south america deserve the band is just 'stupid' honest ...I am thinking it was not intended to be that nasty but it was really harsh

Notice that these cities are mostly in the east with a few sprinkled down the middle of the country - nothing in the far west at all. I do believe that this is where the main fan base base is here in North America - the people that continue to buy tickets and show up for shows.

I hear what you are saying about the South American audience - I've seen those bootlegs too and the audience is awesome - but to be fair - it had been years since they had been in that part of the world.

But pretty much it's the east coast that will sell tickets every time. Bruce offers dates pretty much in the same places - they are known supporters.

And if they can sell tickets here - they can be closer to home and not travel so much. I don't know for sure that that is a factor but I suspect it is.

IMO, you're wrong. It's not JUST North America, not JUST Japan, JUST South America, or JUST Europe. It's all of them. Without North America, they probably wouldn't be successful at all. They are from here. They got started here. Their music made it to Europe, and it did well there too. Same with Japan, South America. All parts of the world were/are essential to their success. So to single out one region isn't fair.

I'm with Deb in saying that the "US vs. the World" debates are annoying. The fans from America may very well enjoy the concert as much as Europeans, South Americans, etc. They just don't show it as much. You don't need to jump like a maniac and scream to be a true rock fan.

True, but sadly our favourite band has decided a long time ago to have their touring schedule determined by profit margins. I am not even shure whether to blame them or not, this is capitalism after all.

I am not complaining, I live in Germany and we get plenty of shows each tour. Yet I'd like for so many fans who only get to see them every 10-15 years or so to be able to see them this tour.
