TF jumped on conclusion about what I said without actually reading .... no big deal but it annoyed me he was correcting me upon something I didn't say ...
I understand they are an american band but even in the 80's they had a good success world wide it's not like it was just in the usa ...but yes the usa response was big so they could explode outside instead of staying a just americano/ american band that would have die very fast ....but I am not even sure of that as their first single was not just an usa one but already it was world wide...
I DO understand what you meant too about the former message saying no need to bother visiting the usa they should stick to south america ...I didn't say that nor I THINK that ... but I was singled out as WRONG ... ... truly annoying

I though mentionned that they are touring the same cities again (with a few new stuff added like a memphis) and that safe path is getting old now

but well ... peace ...
No problem, as I found like Seb said they were recognized in Japan and the rest came after. I would be ticked if what happened to you happened to me. Peace.

Apologies to Jovimimi. The way I read it is that you thought their success had nothing to do with Japan and North America, but now I get your point. I got a little carried away myself.

They're really tempting me with that May 6th date on LI, but both myself and my family are in bad financial straps, so we'll see.

As for the US crowds thing, it's getting old. They probably do play too many US dates, but I'm so damn sick of this trashing of everything. For starters, Bon Jovi play to more of a pop audience here. And beyond that, you don't have to be jumping and screaming every second of a gig to be a true fan of music, but I digress.

Wow, I didn't expect such debate after my post. I wouldn't have said it if I hadn't watched the Rio bootleg before which had carried me away. So sorry for anyone who feels offended, it was meant with a bit of exaggeration.

It is down to money - touring the same places when people will come. North America is big and they tour just part of it. Europe is also big but they tour even a smaller part of it (things look better for 2011, that's right). Maybe fans from different destinations also deserve a chance to see them, both in America and Europe. So that's why I don't understand why they do the same places as they did last year. Those are tens of shows.

And clarify my comment about South America. As an artist, I'd definitely enjoy those shows the most. When you see people are having fun and showing it with dancing, singing, clapping, it makes to you to give them something back. And maybe it wouldn't be that special for the people there if they went there every tour but I believe the atmosphere would be very similar, those people are just crazy - watch a show of any big band here. I personally love Fear Of The Dark by Iron Maiden from Rock In Rio 2001.

And a note about my country - even if we are in Europe, I think this show would suck. The audience here is strange. They love only the "classics" which I hate (I hate them for the status and prejudice in favour - Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd etc etc) everything else is not rock music. Plus the shows - people can't enjoy them, that's my observation. They bitch when the artist is later on stage because they payed for the ticket so he must be there now etc. I was at a perfect Aerosmith show, I was surprised how good it was, I didn¨'t expect much from Steven but it was ace! And the people?? They stood and watched. I felt sorry for the band and wasn't surprised that they played shorter set than usual (they skipped Jaded ) To make it short - I'd a Bon Jovi show here, so I could take underground to see them and not spend five hours in bus, but I'm afraid it would be bad. People in the Balkan countries are more alive and I think would offer better atmosphere.

Well, finally confirmation of the shows I heard as a possibility, for me to add to my "tentative list".

Still not sure to how many or even if I will go, it will depend on how they are doing (in the US), because I won't pay a dime more for just more of the same.

I'm not a member of Backstage so I'll have to wait for general sale. I had better luck last time when I got tickets a couple of weeks before the show. Got great seats on the floor. Sometimes I think the presales aren't that great.

But there is no general on sale information yet?

This show still isn't showing up on the Scotiabank Place website.

Will they add April dates, or are these the final dates to be announced? If anyone can verify, pls do. I got $500 saved for concerts(its expensive in my area more often than not), and if its verified, I can finally spend this on other things.
