No, it probably was played! The live stream cut out somewhere just before Scars on this Guitar and didn't come back until the end of Lay Your Hands On Me. So we just assumed Devil was played.

My educated guess tells me he's saving it for the Valentine's day show. I'll Be There For You as well.

What's surprising is that given the relative success of the Always performance, how quick Jon was to drop it. Since it was such a goal for him to play it on night 1, expected it to be a regular at least for a while.

You can't have Scars as the only ballad on the set...

Good to see NYD. Not a fave of mine but after all the hype about being the show opener it was really strange not to have it.

I'm really surprised Reunion hasn't debuted yet, I'd thought for sure it was going to be one of Jon's "I love it, so suck it up" songs (cue to Reunion, LH, Working Men, Follow, BWC and WAN played back to back on the next show with ILTT and WGIGO for a very special encore). It'd fit nicely with the hope message Jon likes to spread. And it works much better live than any of the TC-WAN songs they are going to play.
Jon if you are reading this, don't listen to me, I'd have Reunion as the lesser of two evils but I'd rather have something else, thanks

Ok, let's say something nice: Yay for not dropping any THINFS songs. A whooping 6-7 per night is impressive. The second part of the show is actually excellent. Oh and I guess we are due a major change anytime soon. It's usually after the first few shows right?

To be fair, Jon sounded worryingly worse on the second show at least the few snippets I've watched. Not sure if having Always every night is a wise move if it's doing so much damage to his voice. I commend him for having the balls to sing it specially the way he did, but he already proved his point, no need to be stupidly stubborn about it and sing it every night. Memory is a great ballad and easy, and a semi-hit, Never Say Goodbye is pretty popular and easy too, IBTFY can be sung semi-acoustically without losing its essence

If there has to be a romantic passionate hit song every night, BOR makes more sense than Always (slightly less vocally demanding) specially if it's the TLFR version which I believe is more accepted in the US

Or just say **** it and sing Always and TAALS every night. And worry about the consequences later

The Devil's in the Temple wasn't played, New Year's Day was.

WGIGO will be a staple every night. It's when Jon gives those with behind the stage tickets a little love...similar to TC tour, only without the moving platforms. He dances his way around a walkway that is behind the band. I know a lot here don't like the song, but it works live. And the lyric includes Big and Rich and Richie and Jon because those are the four who wrote the damn song. The idea of swapping Richie's name for a current band member is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this board.

At least half the crowd on the floor sat during Scars. They sat and payed on their phones. I like the song, but it absolutely has to go. He completely lost his audience with it. Everyone was bored to tears.

BOB, LYHOM, and Faith were the standouts.

P.S. Jon's dad was there. When Jon introduced Tico, he said he lives in Miami and how the all beautiful people from NY and NJ get smart and move to Florida, like Tico and his father...and then pointed him out. He was side stage on the floor by Phil.

Just back from holidays so catching up with the first few shows. Shame we have settled into the standard US tour setlist with very few changes.

I can understand casuals being a bit miffed at the lack of recognisable songs- although as a concert goer, I would make sure I've at the very least listened to the current album and the greatest hits before going which should cover most things. You can't complain about THINFS songs being on the THINFS tour and I think the band should show conviction and keep the vast majority in- but switch some around to get the whole album airplay.

We Weren't Born To Follow, Lost Highway, Work for the Working Man is the real downer of the sets so far. The first and last of those have no place in the set these days and should be swapped up for something that would interest casuals and die hards alike - rarely played singles like Everyday, One Wild Night, Misunderstood, Say It Isn't So etc.. Having the same filler songs for about 5 tours in a row is tiring. Now was a good chance to have a blank page and learn a new bunch of songs to take on tour but it's sticking to the same old. I don't know what songs Jon can/can't manage, but if he can give Always a bash, there's plenty of easier songs that would work.

Thankfully, on the whole it's sounding ok on the audience recordings. The soundboards do Jon no favours but it's miles better than what I feared.

Im not a diehard but a causal fan on someone like Love/Hate (own 1 album) whom im going to see this year but I wouldn't select their 5 bests songs according to Spotify - which a few people at these gigs seem to have done - and then moan about them not being played.
Id listen to the latest album - especially if the tour was called the same name as the new album - and assume id get mostly that with a few classics thrown in.

I dont have any pre-conceptions about a bands set list when I go to see them. I know if I see Jovi (as a diehard) im gonna get the staples - but i seriously dont care what a band plays - apart from WSYCGH! Haha.
Im gutted ive never seen them play WITW & STYG - my fav two songs of theirs but I wouldnt take to social network to voice my displeasure at not hearing them.

Too many people seem to have a set-list in their head and if the band dont play it they moan.

Go to the show and enjoy. You might hear a song for the first time you fall in love with.

Ive never seen Bruce play but if i did and he didnt play from the album that broke him in the UK - Born in USA - I seriously wouldnt give a flying toss.

Im seeing GNR in June. If I leave there without SCOM, PC, KOHD being played I couldnt care less.
