Default 2010/2011 Request Checklist

I love how certain songs have become 'property' of different members here at JT. It's always interesting to see what song is "my song" to certain people. Ive seen a hanful of Wild is the Wind and a whole bunch of These Days', Something to Believe In's and Dry County's. Sometime's it's not even a really rare song for some people like Make a Memory or Happy Now.

It gets me thinking, with the tour presumably well into halfway through, what songs have been ticked off your 'must hear list' on the 2010/2011 tour? Or what songs did you not get that you were anticipating? And if you havent been to a show yet, what songs are on your checklist to hear?

At the start of the Australian leg, my request list was something like...

- I Believe
- Love's the Only Rule
- Always
- Bed of Roses
- Wild In the Streets
- Lay Your Hands On Me
- Superman Tonight

I was never actually expecting to get I Believe and Wild In the Streets, but they were on there anyway.

Unfortunately, I didnt get LTOR and ST. Both were played at the 2nd Sydney show... but I only went to night 1 and 3 *doh*. Was especially sad to not get LTOR considering it may become very rare after this tour. Not getting Bed of Roses again was also another big let down (I was expecting and hoping for it on the LH tour).

Thankfully though, I got Always in Perth which is easily in the top 3 songs of my Circle Tour experience. It was amazing. I got LYHOM too but it didnt really live up to the expectations I had of hearing it live.

Was a negative on getting Wild in the Streets as expected, but getting I Believe (which was #1 on my list) in Sydney was ironically unbelievable.

So although I only got 3 of the songs I was dying to hear, getting Always and I Believe was enough to keep me happy. A lot of people dont get to hear 'their songs' live so i'll count myself lucky.

What has been ticked off your list so far? Or what have you put on your checklist?

Sorry to ruin something, but Wild in the Streets wasn't played in Australia. Only played once during The Circle Tour, in London. Or am I wrong on it ?

No, you're right, it was played on the 19th, the night i was there

And if you read the rest of the original post it says something along the lines of "it was a negative on wild in the streets as expected", so you were both right - if you get me

i reckon Savvi's saying that I Believe and Wild In The Streets were there ~ on his check list ~ although he didn't expect to get them.

my check list would have to include Wild Is The Wind, i'm waving that flag real high Dry County is another must have.
other songs i would love to see live include

Thorn In My Side
I'd Die For You
Hey God
Love's The Only Rule
Have A Nice Day
This Ain't A Love Song
In These Arms

i've only been to 1 show this tour ~ Rock in Rio Madrid ~ and i only got ITA and HAND.

i'd also love to hear another song or two from the first 2 albums. i love Runaway and i'm glad it's being played often, and adding one of these ~ Shot Through The Heart, Come Back, In and Out of Love would be awesome.

Sorry Saavi, I got it wrong !

I've already got some gems during my two shows. Dry County, Last Man Standing, Bed of Roses, Just Older and Love's the Only Rule were amazing songs to get. I've always wanted to hear those ones live

For the summer I'm hoping for those

- These Days
- This Is Love, This Is Life
- I Believe
- Something To Believe In

The song I count as 'My Song' is Always. Just because it's my favorite by a mile and I will always love it.

I've already heard that live so if I wanted to hear something different then I would love to hear the following ..

- Loves The Only Rule
- Something To Believe In
- Hey God
- I Believe

If I got to hear any of them 4 at Manchester, I know I would leave a happy guy already.

When I go to Manchester, my wishlist is as follows (because they mean a lot to me):

- Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
- Living In Sin
- Bed Of Roses
- Never Say Goodbye
- Hey God/Raise Your Hands

ANY of them played and I'm insanely happy.

Well, before TC Tour I had seen only one show, so my request list was quite long:

Dry County
These Days
Something To Believe In
Bed Of Roses
Always
Hallelujah
Homebound Train (Richie)
Undivided
Brokenpromiseland
Happy Now
Love’s The Only Rule
Bullet
Thorn In My Side

I had enough luck to see 5 of them (those in bold). But I have to add that I was also lucky enough to witness 2 other songs that were not even in my dreams – Santa Fe and It’s Hard Letting You Go. SF is my absolute favourite from Jon’s solo albums and I still can’t believe that I have seen this live.

Right now my quest concentrates on one song - Dry County. Any other from the list would also make my day, but DC holds a special part in my heart and soul and is the missing part of my TOP3 (KTF, DC,TD). BPL and STBI would be close second on my wish list. And I also can’t wait to hear No Apologies and TIL TIL, as those are my favourite from the new songs.

By the way, most of my request list was played in Sydney. Hopefully they play similar sets in Dublin this year.

On the side note I also have my nightmare list that includes LH, WSYCGH, ILTT and TMTC (unfortunately I can check 3 of them so far). I simply don’t like those songs to say the least. In some of the latest set lists the band performed 3 of them in one show, which is miserable for me. 4 of them in one show would be a total disaster and could be only redeemed with DC in the encore.

Mine were

Always
Dry County

Luckily I got em. I would've loved just older though.

I was lucky enough to hear:

Always (Chicago)
Dry County (Chicago)
Love's The Only Rule (Fargo)
Happy Now (Chicago, Fargo)

I'm hoping for:

Wild In The Streets
In These Arms
These Days
Thorn In My Side
This Is Love, This Is Life
and now . . . Superman (acoustic)
