The stadium shows in the U.S., Canada and Australia had a ramp around the pit like the arena shows had. It doesn't look/sound like that set-up will be used in Europe next summer.

Do you think it might be a crowd control issue at GA shows? The only stadium shows that have had the Circle have been reserved seating shows. They used a ramp on the HAND tour, didn't they? Were there problems at GA stadium shows?

Yes they used a ramp during the HAND tour and I'm not aware of any security issues. Too bad it was used way too little.

The Paris show this year was GA too (arena though) and they had the ramp - no problems at all.

I really can't see a reason why they shouldn't bring the ramp to the stadiums next year. It brings the band closer to the (GC/GA) crowd -> more intense atmosphere and, on a selfish note, we'd get probably songs we wouldn't hear otherwise.

I definitely wish they were using it there. Some of my best memories of this year's tour are of the Jon & Richie in the midst of the audience doing IBTFY.

Aloha !

If there won't be more strict security than last time they'll end up putting people with a regular ticket in the GC and people with a GC ticket in the Diamond Circle, simply to fill up the space. They have to do this, because every area has to be full so that the biggest area (general admission) will have less people in it.

I'm all for it. I managed to get in the pit that way plenty of times even though I wasn't a member of Backstage and had just a regular GC ticket.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

no it's definitely not security issues ....

I would say it's MAYBE to sell DC more ... saying there is no way further back section (GC ) will get the band up close for 30 minutes ... BUY DIAMOND CIRCLE PACKAGES !! (even if at the end I am still not that sure they won't have a catwalk at all ........ unless in the whole system we don't get a proper stage at all )
as it is GA a lot of fans bought or want to buy GC thinking at some point you get the best spot if you are front row ...

I think no one has a reply on this yet ...

I d say that the arena stage from the circle will be used again for this tour in the usa but for europe we may get a plain regular stage with no hassle ...

Seb,I don't want to rain on your parade but I wouldn't count on that too much this time ...but we shall see good luck ...

I think it will be possible to buy DC ticket only the day of the show maybe and probably way cheaper than the actual face value. But, to enter the DC section with a GC ticket I have some doubt .... They didn't do it in paris the Circle was not packed only the ppl who bought those tickets were let in

Terri, Heidi, thanks for the reply.

It will be a real pity if there is no ramp in the European shows.

We'll see. Promoters, Backstage and fans have been saying this ever since the GC was introduced in 2003 and I've always been able to get to the front without having either a Backstage pass or a GoldCircle ticket.

If the front isn't completely full there'll be a problem. The first two areas have to be full, and that is a security issue. This is also the reason why they always do actions on the best tickets first instead of just resizing the areas.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
